Meet Joslynn, the powerhouse behind Bodyenroute. Strength coach, Cancer Exercise Specialist, and true advocate for women’s health, she combines personal experience with professional expertise to empower women—especially those navigating cancer treatment or preventative surgery—to rebuild confidence, strength, and joy in movement.

Bodyenroute aka Coach Jos specializes in strength coaching, particularly for runners, climbers, and skiers
of all levels.
They also have a strong focus on women's health, specifically empowering women undergoing cancer treatment rehabilitation and preventative surgery rehabilitation, especially those who have had mastectomies. Their philosophy emphasizes strength as a foundation for performance and longevity, incorporating injury prevention, enhanced performance, age-defying benefits, and metabolic transformation.

What led her to do this kind of work?

The founder of Bodyenroute, Joslynn, was led to this work through her own personal experience. After her paternal grandmother died of breast cancer in her mid-thirties, Joslynn discovered she had the BRCA1 mutation at age 25 and decided to undergo a prophylactic double mastectomy.
As an experienced strength coach at the time, she struggled to find professionals specializing in pre- and post-mastectomy care who understood the desire to remain physically active. This personal journey motivated her to start Bodyenroute, combining her expertise in training elite athletes with her own mastectomy experience to advocate for mastectomy care and empowerment. She furthered her education to become a Cancer Exercise Specialist (CES) in 2021.

How does she like to support and connect with the Fighters?

Bodyenroute supports and connects with their clients (referred to as "Fighters" implicitly through their focus on cancer journeys and empowerment) through:

• Personalized coaching: They offer tailored program design, recognizing that "everybody has their own story." They build programs based on movement screening and individual goals, and are flexible in adapting programs to life changes, surgeries, or races.

• Holistic approach: Their coaching includes sport-specific goals combined with injury prevention/maintenance through strength and conditioning. They also offer nutritionist counseling as part of some plans.

• Constant connection and feedback: They use the TrueCoach platform for daily check-ins, delivering workouts with follow-along videos and allowing clients to upload videos for individualized cues and advice. Mastectomy clients specifically receive weekly check-ins.

• Empowerment: They aim to empower clients to take control of their physical selves through mobility work, weight-lifting, cardiovascular fitness, and healthy cooking. They emphasize believing in oneself on unpredictable life journeys.

What does she love most about her role?

• Helping others regain control and strength: Especially for women navigating cancer or preventative surgeries, the ability to empower them to be physically active and resilient after challenging experiences seems to be a core driver.

• Combining personal experience with professional expertise: Joslynn's journey highlights a strong desire to fill a gap in the fitness industry that she personally experienced, allowing her to connect with clients on a deeper level.

 • Witnessing transformation: The emphasis on strength training leading to enhanced performance, injury prevention, and age-defying benefits implies a love for seeing clients achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

• Working with diverse individuals: Joslynn loves working with "beginners and athletes," she gets satisfaction in adapting their expertise to a wide range of needs and aspirations.
